No. Generic TTS reads everything in one flat voice. CastTale first analyzes your book with an LLM “director” that identifies speakers and emotion, then assigns distinct voices per character and mixes in sound — a dramatized production, not a reading.
Everything you generate comes with a personal listening license: stream it, download it, share it with friends. For anything you publish or sell, you must disclose that the audio is AI-generated (required under the EU AI Act from August 2026) and make sure you own the rights to the source text. Audible/ACX currently does not accept third-party AI narration from indie authors — Google Play Books and Kobo do.
Every file we produce carries AI-generation markers in its metadata, in line with EU AI Act Article 50 transparency rules. You keep the markers intact when you share.
